EFI Furniture has been designing and manufacturing commercial furniture in Australia for more than 35 years. We are a family-owned and operated business, and we build our furniture at our own facility at 32 Lisa Place, Coolaroo, in Melbourne’s north - where it is designed, fabricated, upholstered, finished and quality-checked before it ships.

In an industry increasingly dominated by imported product, we have made a deliberate choice to keep manufacturing here. It is better for our customers, better for local jobs, and better for the quality and accountability we can stand behind.

Made here, by us

Manufacturing in-house means we own every step of the process - from initial design and material selection through to metal fabrication, timber and board machining, upholstery, finishing and final assembly. Nothing is outsourced to an anonymous factory overseas. That end-to-end control is how we guarantee the quality and consistency that our education, government and corporate clients depend on, order after order.

Faster lead times you can rely on

Because we build locally, we are not at the mercy of international shipping schedules, container delays or long ocean-freight times. We hold stock of core products and can manufacture to order in timeframes imported suppliers simply cannot match - a critical advantage when you are fitting out a school over the holidays or meeting an end-of-financial-year deadline.

Built to order and genuinely customisable

In-house manufacturing gives us the flexibility to tailor furniture to your space and specification - sizes, configurations, timber and laminate finishes, powdercoat colours and upholstery fabrics. If a standard product is not quite right, we can usually adapt it, rather than forcing your space to fit the catalogue.
