1. What we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details: your name, organisation (for example your school or business), role, email address, phone number, and delivery and billing addresses.
  • Order and quote details: the products you enquire about, order or buy, quotes, invoices, delivery instructions and order history.
  • Account details: if you create an account on our website, your login details, saved addresses and wishlist.
  • Payment details: we accept card, bank transfer and cheque. Online card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, and we don’t see or store your full card number. If you pay by bank transfer or cheque, we receive the payer name and bank details that appear on the payment.
  • Enquiries and messages: what you tell us through our contact form, email, phone or in person, including your furniture requirements.
  • Phone orders: if you use our phone order line, your phone number and the order or account number you enter. Calls to the phone order line aren’t recorded.
  • Competition entries: details you enter in competitions and giveaways we run. Each competition also has its own collection notice.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you’ve agreed to receive marketing emails from us, and how you interact with them (for example, opens and clicks).
  • Website usage: information about how you use our website, collected through cookies and similar technology (see section 6).

We generally collect personal information directly from you. We may also receive it from your organisation (for example, a colleague who places an order on your behalf) or from event organisers where you’ve agreed to share your details.

You can browse our website without telling us who you are. If you don’t give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to provide a quote, process an order, deliver products or accept a competition entry.

2. Why we collect it

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and prepare quotes
  • process, deliver and support orders, including invoicing and warranty
  • manage your website account
  • run competitions and contact winners
  • send you marketing emails, where you’ve agreed to receive them
  • understand how our website is used and improve it
  • measure and improve our advertising
  • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

3. Marketing

We only send marketing emails to people who have agreed to receive them, or where the Spam Act 2003 otherwise allows it. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to stop at any time by contacting us.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it’s needed for the purposes above. This includes:

  • Service providers that run our business systems: website hosting (Hostinger), email and file storage (Google Workspace), payment processing (Stripe), email marketing (Mailchimp), our phone order line (Twilio), website security and performance tools (Jetpack), and our accounting software (Xero).
  • Delivery and freight carriers, so they can deliver your order.
  • Our marketing agency, Maeve Media, which manages parts of our website, marketing and competitions on our behalf.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyers.
  • Government agencies or others where the law requires or allows it.

We don’t sell personal information.

5. Information stored overseas

Some of our service providers store information on servers outside Australia. Our website is hosted by Hostinger on servers in the United States, and Google, Stripe, Mailchimp, Twilio, Xero and Automattic (Jetpack) may store information in the United States and other countries. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect personal information.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technology to keep the site working (for example, your cart and login) and to understand how it’s used.

  • Google Analytics helps us see which pages are visited and how people find us. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Google Ads tracking measures how our ads perform, and may be used to show you EFI ads on other sites after you’ve visited ours. You can manage this at https://adssettings.google.com.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website, such as the cart and checkout, may not work without them.

7. How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. These steps include using reputable providers, encrypted connections on our website and access controls on our systems. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires (for example, tax records). After that we delete it or de-identify it.

8. Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If we can’t give you access, we’ll explain why.
